The three issues that I would like to study and discuss are the environment, work, and drugs.
The issue that I would like to study the most is the environment because I am extremely earth conscious and would like to know how our government and society feels about the environment and what they are doing to preserve our natural resources. I feel that it is important to study the environment because it’s something that everyone on the earth depends on to survives and that we will never be able to restore once our natural resources are gone. I would like for others to be aware of our environmental problems and how these problems can affect our society.
The next topic that I feel is important to study is work. I feel that work is important to study because the majority of our society works and has to work. There are many social problems associated with work that I would like to learn about including lack of work and inequality in the work place. I want to learn about sweatshops and would like to address increased workloads and what work puts us in what social class.
Another topic that I would like to address is drugs. The United States has a huge problem with drugs and I would like to know more about them. I also would like to learn more about marijuana and how it is not as dangerous some of our legal drugs. I would like to know how marijuana became illegal as long with other drugs. I would like to see what new drug laws our being made by our government. Drugs have been in the United States for a long time and have caused major problems in our society. I want to learn about the dangers of legal but dangerous drugs. I think that college students don’t learn enough about the dangers of drugs and their age group does more drugs than any other age group. I think that the numbers would be lower if they knew more about drugs and their consequences. I haven’t learned about drugs since ninth grade in high school.
