So, off they go to the Emerald City in search of the magical Wizard of Oz. He is the one in which the quartet believes holds all that they dream of and more. His magical castle, the Emerald City, the epitome of Utopia, in all its green glory is exactly what they are hoping it is. Yet another symbolism of color, green the color of money, is perhaps represented in this way because many believe that money can buy happiness. The City represents the happiness of the travelers.
Throughout their journey, they have come across many ideals and hopes of the Utopian, perfect ideal life.
